Our commitment
Skin Talk is a clinic for every skin type, and that includes how people reach us. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which is the standard most commonly used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities.
We are not claiming perfect conformance. Naming what still needs work is more useful than claiming there is nothing, so the known issues are listed below.
How the site is built
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- A skip-to-content link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader reaches
- Text colours are measured against their backgrounds rather than eyeballed, and meet or exceed the AA contrast minimum
- Headings follow a real order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure
- Images carry descriptive alternative text
- Form fields have real labels, and errors are announced, not signalled by colour alone
- Expandable sections use native browser elements, so they work before any JavaScript loads and their content is present for search engines and assistive technology
- Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for less motion
- Tap targets are sized for people who cannot aim precisely
What we know still needs work
Measured on this site as of September 14, 2026:
- Booking runs inside a panel provided by Boulevard, and shop payment happens on Shopify. Those are built by other companies, and while we chose them partly for usability, we cannot correct their accessibility ourselves. If either blocks you, call us and we will complete it with you.
- The map on our Visit page is a Google service, and it loads with the rest of that page rather than waiting for you to scroll to it, so Google receives a request whenever you open it. We are looking at whether to replace it with a plain link to directions. Our address, hours and phone number are written out as text either way, so you never need the map to find us.
- Some photography is decorative and described briefly rather than exhaustively. If a specific image matters to you and the description is not enough, ask us.
Tell us about a problem
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know, and you should not have to work around it in the meantime.

It helps if you can tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead, along with the browser or assistive technology you use. None of that is required. We aim to reply within five business days, and if a fix will take longer than that we will say so and offer another way to get what you needed.
Getting to us, and being in the clinic
