The short version. This website is information, not medical advice, and reading it does not make you a patient. Booking happens through Boulevard and shop payments happen on Shopify, so parts of what you do here are handled by other companies under their own terms. Prices and availability can change. If something here matters to you, the specifics are below.

These terms apply to your use of skintalkstudio.com, operated by Skin Talk PLLC (doing business as Skin Talk), 2310 Harlem Rd Ste 208, Richmond, TX 77406. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

This site is not medical advice

Everything on this website is general education about aesthetic and skin treatments. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for being examined by a clinician who can see your skin.

Reading this site, filling in a form, or booking an appointment does not create a physician and patient relationship. That relationship begins at your consultation, after a medical exam. Nothing here should be relied on to decide whether a treatment is right for you, and no outcome described on this site is a promise about your own result.

If you have a medical emergency, call 911. Do not use this website or a contact form to report anything urgent, because nobody monitors them continuously.

Booking an appointment

Booking is handled by Boulevard, a scheduling service. When you open a booking panel or follow a Book Now link, you are using Boulevard's system, and what you enter there is governed by Boulevard's own terms and privacy policy rather than this page.

A booking is a request for a time, not a guarantee that a specific treatment is appropriate for you. If the medical exam at your consultation shows a treatment is not suitable, Dr. Ali will tell you so and recommend something else or nothing at all. Injectables and medical consultations are performed by Dr. Sophia Ali only.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment. Inside 24 hours, or if you do not arrive, there is a$25 late cancellation fee.

The reason for the notice is not the fee. It is that a released slot can usually be given to someone else, and an unattended one cannot. If something genuinely unavoidable happens, call us and talk to us about it.

Prices, availability and offers

Prices on this site, and any promotional code or membership benefit described on it, can change and can end. Where a price is shown as a starting point, your own cost depends on how much product is used, how many areas are treated, and how many sessions you need. That is confirmed with you before treatment, not after.

We try to keep everything on this site accurate and current. If something is wrong, out of date, or contradicts what you were told in the clinic, what a clinician tells you in person takes precedence, and we would be grateful if you pointed the error out.

The shop and payments

Retail products are sold through Shopify. Product details, stock and prices on this site are drawn from Shopify and can be out of date between updates, so the figure at checkout is the one that applies.

Payment is taken by Shopify, not on this website. When you check out you leave skintalkstudio.com and continue on a Shopify domain under Shopify's terms. Skin Talk never receives or stores your card details.

Skincare products are shipped or collected in the clinic as described at checkout. For a return or an issue with an order, contact us and we will sort it out.

Using the site

Please do not:

The text, photography, logo and design on this site belong to Skin Talk PLLC or are used with permission. Brand names such as Botox, Dysport, Hydrafacial, SkinPen, Moxi, BBL and VI Peel belong to their own owners and are used here to describe the treatments and products we actually provide.

Links and services we do not control

This site links to and embeds services run by other companies, including Boulevard for booking, Shopify for the shop, Google for maps and analytics, and Cloudflare for hosting and spam prevention. Their terms and privacy policies apply to what they do, and we cannot control or take responsibility for their content or availability.

Reviews and testimonials on this site

Reviews shown on this site are real and are published by their authors on Google under their own accounts. They describe those people's experiences, which are not a prediction of yours. Individual results vary, and any before and after material shows one person's outcome rather than a typical one.

Disclaimers and limits

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every detail is current at the moment you read it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Skin Talk PLLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your rights as a patient in respect of care actually provided to you in the clinic.

Privacy

How this site handles your information is set out in the privacy policy. That notice covers the website and the people who visit it.

Your medical record is a separate matter. Treatment records, clinical photographs and anything else created in the course of your care are protected health information under HIPAA, and are covered by Skin Talk's Notice of Privacy Practices, which is a different document. Ask at the front desk or email hello@skintalkstudio.com for a copy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute about them belongs in the state or federal courts serving Fort Bend County, Texas.
